Data Processing in the diagz mobile App

Authentication
Your account is provided by your organization through Single Sign-On (SSO). We process your name and email address locally for authentication. Authentication credentials are stored in platform-native secure storage. Your raw email address is not shared with third-party services.

Location Data
The App uses your device’s precise GPS location solely for the “nearby devices” map feature. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. Location access requires explicit permission and is only active while you use the map feature.

Crash and Diagnostic Data
To maintain App stability, we use Firebase Crashlytics (Google Ireland Limited) to collect crash reports. This includes error traces, device information (model, operating system, App version), and a pseudonymized user identifier. IP addresses may be processed transiently by Google for service delivery but are not stored in crash reports. Crash data is retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

Usage Analytics
The App collects anonymized usage data via Firebase Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to improve performance and user experience. This data includes sanitized screen views and feature usage events. Analytics data does not include personal identifiers, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking data. Analytics data is collected only in release builds after authentication. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted.

User Feedback
When you submit feedback through the in-app form, we receive the text you enter, an optional screenshot, and technical metadata (App version, platform, OS version). This data is retained as long as necessary for support resolution.

Local Storage
The App stores limited data locally on your device, including recently visited network nodes and session data. Session data is cleared on logout.

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google Ireland Limited)
Google acts as a data processor on our behalf for Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. Firebase services may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
For more information: Firebase Privacy

OpenStreetMap
The App uses OpenStreetMap for map display. Map data is provided under the Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. No personal data is transmitted to OpenStreetMap.

SSL Encryption
All communication between the App and your organization’s server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

Data Security
We implement appropriate measures to protect your data, including pseudonymization of user identifiers before transmission to third-party services, platform-native secure storage for credentials, and TLS encryption for all network communication.

Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info(at)networkedassets.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority.

Account Deletion
Your account is managed by your organization through Single Sign-On. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact your organization’s IT administrator or reach out to us at info(at)networkedassets.com.

Children
The App is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our data practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
